About Brian Reed
In 2006, two experiences changed the course of my career: I completed an intensive 8-week Kaizen facilitation certification, and I earned top honors in a Dale Carnegie public speaking program. That year lit the spark — and I’ve been learning, leading, and helping teams improve ever since.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to lead more than 130 Kaizen events across 8 companies and 6 states, in environments ranging from aerospace and cleanroom manufacturing to construction and pharmaceuticals. Along the way, I’ve met incredible mentors, worked with amazing teams and team members, and built a deep respect for what can happen when people are empowered to improve the work they do.
Some of the event types I’ve facilitated include:
• Value Stream Mapping for production, office, and service workflows
• 5S/6S systems, from single departments to sitewide audit and recognition programs
• Kanban implementations for raw materials and finished goods
• Cell design and flow improvements aligned to takt time
